Sandy Thompson, Ph.D.
is a Staff Psychologist here at CTWPS. Dr. Thompson received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. She helps women thrive amidst anxiety, stress, mood, and relationship issues. She is particularly passionate about helping women who struggle with feelings of inadequacy, people-pleasing tendencies, boundary setting, and burnout in both personal and professional realms.
Dr. Thompson has over a decade of experience in clinical psychological research, assessment, and treatment. During her tenure at major NYC hospitals, community clinics, and group therapy practices in the city, she has actively supported women in making changes toward a life shaped by their personal values and goals. Along with comprehensive training in evidence-based therapies, she has been trained in Mindfulness-based CBT, ERP, cognitive processing for trauma, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for chronic pain.
Dr. Thompson has resided in different parts of Asia and Australia before settling down in NYC over a decade ago. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin and has in-person and remote therapy availability in our practice.
